Describes the fluviatile and lacustrine manatee habitat in Tabasco, lists food plants and incidentally-consumed algae, describes seasonal movements, and presents evidence for seasonal breeding correlated with the rise and fall of river levels. States that fishing and other human activities in the area are not a threat to manatees, and that the manatee population may have increased in the last 5 years.
